Here is the pitcher usage chart for weeks one and two.  Notice the RAIN OUTS in week 1.  Those created an additional day of rest for teams involved in them.  So technically the some teams have had 7 days, while other teams have had only 6.

In order to properly keep this list each team must be looked at individually.  All days are marked with an “-“.  As I stated some teams only have 6 “-” while others may have 7.

In order to avoid any confusion, I have only included the extra “-” in the pitchers that actually played week 2 game 3 on the 7th day according to the hypothetcal week, but it is still the 6th day for all teams in SABLE.

With that out of the way, only two teams made errors.  The New York Yankees and San Diego Padres.

First the Padres.

The Rain out in game 2 of week 1 caused this one.  That Rain Out allowed Justin Verlander to come back and pitch on 4 days rest Week 2 game 2.  Then following the pitchig rotation (#1-#2) Roy Halladay would pitch next.  The rain out in week 1 happened prior to Halladay’s start so he didn’t receive an extra day of rest and was pitching on only 3 days rest.  Oops.  He also made a mistake with Carlos Villanueva who also pitched in both Halladay games.  Either a mismark of the scorebook 3IP instead of 3.1 or thinking there was the RAIN OUT day of rest could have caused this error.

The Commissioner has been notified of these errors and the neccessary steps will be taken to ensure San Diego pitches his pitchers on proper rest.

Then comes the Yankees.

IN week 1 Game #3 Al Alberqueque pitched in relief 5IP.  This required a rest of 3 days.  In week 2 Game 2, Bartolo Colon came down with a Bizarre Play injury and had to leave the game after pitching 3.1IP.  Al Alberqueque was used in Long Relief after only 1 day of rest.  This is an illegal usage and the commissioner has been notified.  Alberqueque faces a 3 day suspension and also 1 player on the 25 man roster (from week 2) will be chosen at random and suspended accordingly (5 games for a starter/3 games for batters/releivers).

REMINDER:  The pitcher rest chart was included in the 6-page rule book everyone received week 1.  It is at the top of page 3.

If any team would like to have boxes printed out for them to track their pitchers let Dom know and he’ll print you up some.
